Fest Questions

2020 Frequently Asked Questions:

What Are The Dates of This Year’s Oktoberfest?

The Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest celebrates 50 years of love this year.  We will be celebrating beginning Sept. 18 – Nov. 7, 2020.   Wyatt’s Oktoberfest celebration takes place every Thurs., Fri., Sat., and Sun.

The Dates I’d Like to Reserve Are Not Available.  When Will Reservations Be Available?

This year, due to the constantly changing State mandates, we will be releasing reservations every two to three weeks.  Please stay tuned to our Facebook page -bigbearlakeoktoberfest or the web site, www.bigbearevents.com.

Are advanced reservations limited?

Yes!  Due to current restrictions and State mandated guidelines, this year’s Oktoberfest will take place in our Wyatt’s Grill & Saloon outdoor area – which while expansive, will still require a much smaller capacity than in years past.  Advanced reservations will literally guarantee you a seat at the party.

What Does “Reservation Arrival Time” Mean?  Can I Stay All Day?

In an effort to help ease any congestion at the entrance and keep folks coming in easily, this year, when making reservations, you will need to select an Arrival Time.  Once you have arrived, you are more than welcome to stay the entire day/evening.

Can I enter Oktoberfest, leave and then re-enter at a later time?
There is NO RE-ENTRY.  Be sure to bring your whatever it is you need, i.e., camera, jacket, Photo I.D., etc.

Can I bring my own stein?
Yes, you can bring your own stein to the Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest – as long as it comes in empty and leaves empty!

Are Children Welcome This Year?

Sundays are Family Fun Days with special Family Pricing.  The Family package includes two adults, and up to three children (17 years and under), as well as a FREE Kids’ Meal for each child all for $46.99.

Do We Accept Credit Cards?

Yes, we accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover Card and American Express.  Credit Cards and/or cash are accepted at all locations!  Unlike, years past, there will be no tickets this year.  All transactions will be credit card or cash!

Are dogs allowed?

Service dogs are always welcome at Oktoberfest. However, while we do love dogs, no pets are allowed on the property.

What time are the contests?
Contests are scheduled regularly throughout the day.  This year’s contests include Log Sawing – Men, Women and Mixed Teams;  Steinholding – Men and Women; and the Safe Slam Beer Drinking contest.  We’ve been working diligently over the summer months to come up with new protocols for the contests that strictly adhere to State and CDC guidelines.

Is there a Taxi Service or Shuttle Service To and From Oktoberfest?

Getting home is super simple! The complimentary “Take Home” shuttle begins running at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings and provides door-to-door service anywhere you are staying within the Big Bear Valley. The “Take Home” shuttle picks up at the main Oktoberfest entrance and runs each evening until 10:00 p.m.  Please note:  Masks will be required to ride the shuttles.
