Costume Guidelines

Celebrate A German Spooktacular at the Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest as we round out the final weekend of our 46th year!  Saturday, Oct. 29th will be our final day of celebrating Oktoberfest this year and it will definitely be a party like no other.

Along with all the normal zany Oktoberfest fun, we will be offering an adult and children’s costume contest.  Children contest takes place at 3:00 p.m. with prizes for the top five finishers and participatory prizes for all children who enter.

The adult contest takes place at 10:00 p.m. with more than a $1,000 in cash and prizes.  Prizes are awarded for the top ten costumes!

Please note, due to recent events, we will not allow any clown costumes (happy, sad, or otherwise) into Oktoberfest this year.  We are sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Other contest guidelines include:

Masks may be worn for the contest, but our security team will ask that masks not be worn during your visit to Oktoberfest.  All masks will need to be removed for security purposes.

Costumes may not contain any weapons that resemble or could easily be     mistaken for an actual weapon.

Costumes may not contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another Guest.

Management reserves the right to refuse entry into, and/or remove a guest from Oktoberfest who might be wearing inappropriate or what may be deemed as dangerous costumes.
