This spirited, lederhosen-wearing, professional polka-playing group of musicians  have been performing together since 2016. They deliver a hearty blend of polka, waltzes, and contemporary pop. Along with traditional German music, they mix it up the fun with pop, rock, funk and a variety of styles and covers. A lively show that is bound to get you on the dance floor!

This duo packs a big punch! Da Stube Buben plays songs such as Let’s Go Beer Drinking to Beer Barrel Polka that will  keep you singing along all day long! Saxophonist / clarinetist / vocalist Jurgen and keyboardist Reine have playing together for more than three decades.

Frankenrebellen Express derives from the Franconia region of Bavaria, Germany. They are slated to perform in Big Bear October 1-2 and the following weekend October 7-9. They sing with thick German accents and deliver a fun-style of party music that’s driven by a hearty and rhythmic oompah-pah sound. This marks the first time since 2019 that a band direct from Germany will play at Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest. Frankenrebellen Express will definitely bring the spirit of Munich’s Oktoberfest right here in Big Bear Lake.

So Cal’s Premier Oktoberfest Party Band! Plays classic songs from the Golden Age of Oompah & Bavarian Folk Traditions, also pays homage to the International Phenomenon that is Oktoberfest with polkas & waltzes that are Bavarian in origin, but pure german ‘Schlager, ‘ as well as country-western favorites. They also play originals like La Bavaria, Servus or Let’s Celebrate.

 

Ladyhosen featuring Yodelstar Kathrin Jakob

This all-woman band plays a mix of traditional polka songs and classics that everyone can sing along to. The mix of accordion, tuba, and drums make for a perfect polka feel and the yodelers voice acrobatics are the cherry on top.  Yodelstar Kathrin Jakob was born in Munich and raised in a medium sized village in Bavaria. She brings a special talent to the stage with a wide-range of yodeling and singing!

 

Retro – Lithuanian Dance Ensemble from Los Angeles

Retro, a Lithuanian folk-dance ensemble, formed in Los Angeles in 2003. They not only focus on authentic traditional Lithuanian dance choreography, but many of their dances include polka, waltz, foxtrot and even tango. Audiences enjoy Retro’s performances locally at the annual Lithuanian Days Festival held every October in Los Angeles, and as far away as venues in Boston, Cleveland, Detroit, Toronto and Chicago. Retro performed most recently at the 2022 International Lithuanian Dance Festival in Philadelphia. Retro has even traveled abroad to the homeland to perform in Lithuania at the Kaunas Folk Dance Festival in 2007 and 2018.
