Contests

German favorites – Log Sawing, Steinholding, and new this year Decorate The Maypole!

Pol Schmücken
New this year, is the Pol Schmücken contest that challenges three teams of three to decorate their own individual Maypole the fastest. This is no ordinary race. Each team member will have a different-colored, spool of ribbon. Once the starting bell rings, all three teammates must circle around the pole at the same time, bouncing around and dodging each other in the process; all while trying to beat the other two teams to the final bell. The first team that empties all three ribbon spools first wins. This new contest is expected to draw lots of fun-filled blunders and slipups, which in turn is certain to stir up plenty of hoots and hollers from spectators.
