The Convention Center at Big Bear Lake is a full service facility. From catering, to audio/visual, to sound and lighting, to decorating, we can provide everything you need to make your event special.

We know that every event is unique and to that end, we strive to provide event planners with a variety of options to help create the perfect event. Event planners can simply rent the facility as is or have us provide all the extras. Because each event is unique, each quote we provide is based on the specifics of your event.

The following are a few helpful tips to consider when planning your event at the Convention Center at Big Bear Lake.

Event Times:

The times you contract for are very important as they dictate the hours you have access to the facility. The facility is available to you only during the contracted times, so if you need set-up hours to decorate or load-in, please be specific when asking for a quote. Likewise, remember any extra time you might at the end of the event for clean-up and load-out.

Do I Need Security At My Event?

All events at the Convention Center require appropriate security. Security is onsite to not only look out for the safety of our guests and best interest of the Convention Center, but they also look after your best interest. For insurance purposes, we require the use of our contracted security firm. We will best determine how many guards are required based on the nature of the event.

Special Electrical Needs:

Special electrical needs do not just apply to big spotlights and stage lighting. Special electrical needs can be as simple as having to plug in coffee urns. Other special electrical needs might arise with your entertainment and decorations.

In-house Sound System:

Our in-house sound system is built for speaking only. If you are bringing in a band or musical entertainment, they will need to supply their own sound system. We can provide sound systems to handle everything from a singer to concert-style entertainment for an additional fee. We do require that all sound, beyond the use of our simple in-house system, and additional electrical needs are arranged through our contracted sound company.
